When I write my stories I have KS2 or Middle Grade reader in mind. I want to promote a true love of reading. I smaller chapters that are achievable to read in one sitting. I have a colour book with at least one picture per chapter, bridging the gap from their favourite picture books. I love cliff hangers, they make us want to find out more, I put lots in and tease the reader about it.

In my experience boys often take more convincing that reading is a good think to do than girls. So I have tried to add it interesting facts as research show boys like facts. Also a lot of humour!!!
